Rather than doing laundry on Saturdays like my mom used to do, I do laundry on Wednesday nights. I can start a load when the first 30 minutes situation comedy comes on at 8:00, then switch the first load into the dryer when the 2nd comedy comes on and put a second load in the washer. Then, when the 3rd comedy comes on, I take the first load out of the dryer, put the second load in the dryer, and start folding clothes while watching the show. By the tie the last comedy is over, all the clothes have been washed, dried and folded, and if there are one or two pieces that need ironing, I can finish it up before the evening news is over.

Usually I do laundry on Wednesday nights. But I had something else going on last Wednesday  and then again this Wednesday I did not do any laundry. So today, I am facing a mountain of laundry. It is going to take at least 6 hours to run the machines to get all of this done. Sigh.

Baby it’s cold outside! I mean it is COLD! I can’t get warm tonight and I’ve been home for hours with the thermostat cranked. At least I have my dogs to cuddle up and help keep me warm on the cold winter nights.

We’ve got enough snow on the ground to make a snowman now. I have been gathering up the accessories for his face, the broom and a long scarf. We are heading out the door now for some fun in the snow!
